All Three Clermont Commissioners Salute Rep. Bubp for Military Service

November 11, 2009

Batavia, Ohio. The Board of Clermont County Commissioners (BCC) today presented Ohio State Representative Danny Bubp (R-88) with a certificate of appreciation recognizing his service to our country.

The West Union legislator is a colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve and recently returned from a one year tour of duty in Iraq.

“It’s great to be back home,” said Representative Bubp, who served in Iraq as a liaison officer for the military to the provisional governor of the Al Anbar province, one of the largest province’s in that country. “Our military personnel are doing a good job over there and things are really turning around.”

In addition to the BCC recognition, the Veteran’s Service Commission presented Rep. Bubp with a challenge coin, and Congresswoman Jean Schmidt presented him with a service proclamation.

“Colonel Bubp, you are a true hero,” said Congresswoman Schmidt. “You have helped maintain the security of our nation during a critical time with selfless dedication and honor.” Representative Bubp has served with the Marine Corps Reserve for 30 years.
